Hi i'm new to growing things, just having a go, as are my brother and my mum.
Was just wondering what could i plant now as i know i have missed planting for lots things.
I have got spuds planted and have also planted seeds with my little boy for onions, spring onions and toms, i know its late for them but we enjoyed planting them together.
I would be made up with any advise

Hi Seedy, welcome to the 'vine'. You're certainly not too late to plant all sorts of things. Have a look at some of the other threads and you'll get loads of ideas. I'm still sowing salads, spring onions, beetroot and herbs but there's loads more.

I reckon you could growsome cut and come again salads - lettuce mix. And you could plant some mangetout they grow fast. Definately plant the beetroot, and also swiss chard - they both germinate really quickly so your little boy will be impressed.
Then you can get started on the over winter veg - cabbage, onions etc
Good luck - and don't get too addictited to this forum, you do acctually have to go outside and plant stuff - (I say knowing full well I should have gone out half an hour ago!)

Hellooo and welcome. Yep - you can still get some stuff in the ground such as the salad leaves and maybe some peas?

I haven't even thought about my winter veg yet either! I'm going to to miss the boat too if I don't get onto it!

Thanks everyone, i have planted lettuce, spring onions, normal onions and we have got cress growing. My little boy has planted the same things so he can't wait to see them growing.
