      Hi Nobody
you must be somebody! How lovely to grow exotic fruits. I`m fairly new to taking gardening seriously and I`m like a kid in a sweet shop wondering what to buy next or grow next. Ive just got a fig tree (hey hey!! how exotic is that??) Just got some great tips off the feeling fruity section. Good luck!

Welcome Nobody. I struggle with the general gardening- couldn't cope with all that exotic stuff. I go down to the greenhouse every day just to check that the cucumbers are still alive! Couldn't cope with any more stress than that!!!! Good luck with it all anyway. Sanjo

Hi, Thank you all for the warm welcome. You seem to be interested in my exotic fruit so here’s a little more information. Firstly I am no expert and I have some disasters with the citrus. I have at the moment 2 Mandarins, 2 Oranges, and a Grapefruit all in pots and they all live outside right now in a sheltered south facing position All are in flower the flowers have very strong aroma and most have fruit set and doing well also. They went outside after the frosts spring and will stay outside before the frosts return in the autumn. I would say the most important thing get right is the watering and feeding.

I have 2 Pineapples are in pots in a sunny window and they cropped about 3 months ago and are now sprouting new shoots.

I have 1 Fig outside and 2 inside in a window the outside Fig seems to be happier and is growing like a weed and needs to be kept under control. They seem to take as much water as you want to give them.

I have also just got a bamboo that is doing well.
