I moved up to Scotland a few years back,if you like the countryside ,you'll love it,highly recommended.Several of our old midlands friends have visited and said "they wished they'd been before" and some are on repeat visits. The gardening is a bit different, some stuff does like the weather, some plants missing from the local garden centres, but in the main, you can grow most things with a bit of help and shelter.

Welcome to the Vine Scotkat. I'm in Coupar Angus so can't be too far from you. DeezyB is in Kirriemuir (if memory serves well) so you are in good company.

Hey Wayne ! You've never been to Scotland ! Get up here. It's an absolutely beautiful country. You won't be disappointed.

And another Scottish welcome! I'm not near any of you normally, but on Friday I am off to Memus (near Kirriemuir) - a great part of Scotland!

Sorry to hear that it is raining Scotkat - hope it stops soon!

Welcome and although being a die hard southerner, I have to admit Scotland is a beautiful place to visit. Only drawback is your wee midges but I suppose our sweet southern blood is a treat for them
I am certain that the day my boat comes in, I'll be at the airport.

Yes they are a bit of a pain and have been out on force this year but have managed to dodge them.

Thanks for the welcome Stacey and yes Scotland is a beautiful place even when its wet

Hi and welcome to the vine Scotkat. I was born near you - in Dundee Royal Infirmary! Scottish through and through even though I now live in Wales (mini Scotland here in Pembrokeshire).

I wish the ruddy rain would go fall on a desert someplace as we have had far too much of it this 'summer'
