    Hello everyone!

I live in Brittany and am just in the process of putting up my second polytunnel (first went up last year). I have a motley assortment of hens and two cockerels, two sheep, three pigmy goats, two geese and seven cats. I have no real knowledge of veggie growing, but in spite of this have managed to have a polytunnel burgeoning with produce this summer and hope to have even more next year. Have read through lots of postings and think this is a brilliant site with lots of good advice.

    Hello and welcome.

You seem to have taken a lot on, with all that livestock I bet you not a of waste gets to the compost heap
I am certain that the day my boat comes in, I'll be at the airport.

Hi, welcome to the grapevine. There'll be no stopping you with 2 poly tunnels!

No, I always have a battle with myself about whether to give leftovers and outside bits of veggies to the hens, goats or compost heap. The heap rarely wins, but I do get it all back when cleaning out the animals sheds and then the compost heap does benefit.

Waiting for a calm day to put on the plastic with the second polytunnel. Can't wait to have it covered so I can start working inside. My children think I'm barmy as I live alone here, and they can't understand why I need another polytunnel. But I'm sure I don't have to explain to anyone on this site!
