newbie vegging in Herts

Hi everyone,

Finally registered after lurking around on the forum for a while.
Started my first veg plot with greenhouse in May at my new house - all trial and error as this gardening lark is all new to me.
Successes: peas, courgettes, runner beans, tomatoes, sweet & chilli peppers
Could do better: carrots, beetroot, sweetcorn
What on earth happened???: cabbages, broccolli, potatoes
But I seem to have got the bug now and am v excited about what to do next year and will probably have lots of questions along the way!

Brassicas are one of the hardest crops to do well ... they suffer from more pests than anything else I can think of
