    Hi Everyone
I'm new to the site and so looking forward to the growing season. We moved to Exmoor 18 months ago and now the house is done i can concentrate on the garden.
My new (to me) Greenhouse was free on Facebook marketplace, it's 12 x 8 and is almost complete, just a few panes to go in this afternoon & it's ready to go.
I plan to grow tomatoes, peppers, chillis & basil along with space to overwinter my lemon tree Sadly I lost my nectarine in the move, it didn't take kindly to be ratchet strapped to the back of a flat bed truck by OH
As ive only just aquired the GH I'm later than normal starting my tomato seeds, theyve gone into a heated propogator today does anyone know if this is too late as i normally start them much earlier?
We're also creating 3 large beds at 4.8m x 2.4m to go with our rhubarb patch & fruit trees which were planted last year.
Soooo excited and can't wait to read your posts and follow your year

Hello Amanda welcome to the forum what tomatoes are you growing this year? I don’t have a greenhouse, mine are on the windowsills at the moment very small seedlings. There should be enough time for them, they only take a few days till germination, they grow really quickly when they’re planted out around May/June time. Some take a long time to ripen tho,the greenhouse you found sounds great, melon plants would like it too

Hello and welcome to the vine Amanda and congrats on your freebie GH.
I think it may be a bit late for sowing plum Tom's that take a long time to ripen like San Marzano but others should be fine.

Hello and welcome. I'm just replanting my tomatoes that haven't come up. As you're much farther south than me you've got a lot better chance than me. I normally plant most at the beginning of April up here as otherwise I accidently kill them on the windowsill before it gets warm enough to put them into the greenhouse.

Hi Amanda and welcome to the Vine. Our toms were only sown last week and no propagator, just a windowsill so you shouldn't be too late.

                Hi Amanda and welcome .
I normally sow my tomato seeds in Feb.
Having been away I sowed them today and expect they will catch up.
They are in a heated propagator and will go into the greenhouse when the weather is warmer.
Hope you have a good growing season.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
