    hi everyone i thought i'd tell everyone i'm new on the site and i'm looking foward to growing fruit and veg in my garden next year because this year was just a trial run to see if veg grow well i my heavy blue soil and shockingly i had success.

    Roughly where abouts are you growing. Being a bit of a numpty here, what do you mean by blue soil? Pop into the Sunday Night chat later if you have time.

      blue soil is that that doesn't let water away easily and the fields around my house at the minute are like jelly when you walk on it. before the spring i really must and some organic matter,

          Hi and welcome. You can improve ANY soil with organic matter, and a heavy soil at least hangs on to its nutrients. Good luck for the coming season.

                    Nobody would have been any the wiser, had Dave joined - posted a few funnies and some comments and then just responded for seeds - or just tagged onto the pass the seed parcel and kept it [hmm..no comment there]
