  • Hi all

Hello everyone have just joined the forum.

Thought I would say Hi and tell you a bit about me. We moved to sunny wales three years ago from northamptonshire. We live on top of a mountain in caerphilly, which is GREAT. I have not been into gardening for long but am learning fast. I have my name on a waiting list for an allotment which I hope should come soon. At the moment I am into growing carnations from seed and my garden is mostly covered with them. As I live on a mountain growing space is limited so as a keen woodworker I have made some planters to go on the decking (all three levels) I have even made one for the next door neighbour. I am hoping to start growing my own veg and keep chickens when I get my allotment. But am doing much reading at the moment as I do not know where to start. I did want to keep bees but other people were not too happy about that idea.

Anyway I wont go on too much for now hope to catch you all sometime, any advise would be appreciated.

    regards Runningwolf

Hi, so envious you are living in wales. Love the place. Nice to see you on the forum and welcome.

There's a whole bunch of real friendly and helpful peeps about and they've answered loads of my numpty questions too . Not been here long but am really glad I joined. Good luck with your plans and hopefully your waiting list is not too long!

Hello and welcome. Once you get the first crops in (and lots of people here grow exclusively in planters) you'll never look back!
