Hi. I really fancy growing a fig tree against my south-facing brick wall. Trouble is, there is no soil near, as it is on my patio.
I would love to place a container grown fig against the wall and spread it around! Do I need a special type of fig for this (I was thinking of Brown Turkey)?
Also, I see most information about this mentions figs in containers, or wall-trained figs, but not both.
Can someone tell me if they have done this, and is it OK?
How is it pruned, and what happens about repotting (which clearly can't be done if the fig is fixed/trained to the wall??
All help very welcome!
