    Hi Guys,

I've decided to start growing my own veg (and perhaps some fruit), so I am here to pick your brains

I'm quite interested in fitness and nutrition, started hitting the gym last year and learning everything I can about 'diet'. The nutritional profiles of a lot of supermarket veg is so far removed from it's natural roots it's shocking... The only way to combat that is to grow my own!

I'm starting by growing in pots, I'm assuming it'll be easier to keep a check on things (soil type etc).

I'll start another post in the New Shoots section with what I'm intending to plant this week to see if you guys spot any potential issues.

(if nothing else, it's addictive already!)

Hi and welcome. You will never eat better - or fresher- veg than those you grow. That's why we're addicted!

I had some red peppers from a farm shop last week, so much more juicy and flavoursome!
