  • Hello everyone

    i am moving to 22 acres of land in six week ,half of it is covered in soft rush, so i am told and the rest is green pastures.

    I want to grow fruit and veg ,plant trees , compost etc

                Sounds like a blank canvas! You may not be aware of the FREEwoods project that the Woodland Trust is running: The Woodland Trust - FREEwoods

                This basically gives you the chance to grow native woodland on a patch of a land over a couple of acres in size, for free, through the Trust. There is also the Native Tree shop, where you can purchase native tree saplings for perhaps a smaller area. The possibilities are endless; and it's a great way of looking after native woodland and providing habitats for all sorts of wildlife...
