  • Greetings from Galway

Hi, I'm new here as a member, but have been reading a lot. Great site.

I've just moved from a city to a house in the country in Galway in the West of Ireland (lots of rain but lovely) and have a pretty blank canvas garden of about half an acre. At the moment I've a couple of beds, a rockery and lots of lawn...oh, and am waiting for a polytunnel to be delivered (really really excited about it).

As a gardener I am a relative novice when it comes to knowledge (so sorry that I'll be asking lots of stupid questions!...which end of the watering can do you fill from?), but am very enthusiastic and hope to learn a lot along the way.

Hi Paddy and welcome. Lovely to see another Irish person on board.
I envy you your half acre and especially the fact you have it all to plkan out.
Hope we get a great summer and bumper harvests.
All the best with your new tunnel.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                Hiya Paddy
                Welcome.
I'm not so far from Galway and also have a polytunnel. We can moan about the rain together !!
And what everyone else said.... no such thing as a silly question.
