    Hi everyone,
yes Im new... but I want to say hello to everyone.
Seemingly the guy that had the lottie before me has given up because of pests.. rabbits, pigeons and rats.
    Anybody got any advice please.
    cheers Mpenzi

Netting! We have a pigeon problem. We all make wooden frames with fine chickenwire stapled on, and make 'cages' for the vulnerable veg. It costs a bit initially - so do raised beds and a greenhouse! - but you only need to make them once.

Hi there 'Neighbour' - well almost ! I am in Catterick so just up the road really (if you mean Croft on Tees). I am too new to offer any useful advice, but I am happy to share my mistakes if that counts !
              Welcome.

Welcome along - I too thought that you lived near me as there is a village called Croft near me also - maybe you'd be best putting the county up on your location also as we're an easily confused bunch and it sounds like Croft is a surprisingly common place name!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

                      Hi
Strange! I didnt realise how common the place name of Croft was. Ive been looking at he map of GB and there are quite a few.
So Ive learnt something today! Not about gardening, but never mind lol.

                        Hi and welcome,
We've had rats a couple of times on our lotties, there's just 6 of them, but the council rat man comes and sorts 'em out.

                          Hi Lottieval
I havent seen any rats yet, but my labrador Ozzie potters alone with me so perhaps they dont like the smell of him. Or perhaps the council man has been very good at his job!!!
                          xx
