I have posted already today, just came across this section and thought I would introduce myself.

My name is John, I reside in Swadlincote Derbyshire. Not much experience in gardening and can only really grow things in pots as we are renting and there is no garden its all slabs

Have some potatoes, tomatoes, radishes, lettuce, carrots, dragon fruit and a lemon growing.

Yep, thought so. Threw me there by starting off fairly regularly - potatoes, tomatoes, radishes....

Then dragon fruit. Cool. I've no idea what it is, but anything with dragon in the name has to be cool.

Go to you local tesco and in the fruit and veg section ask for a dragon fruit, its a pink scaly leafy thing. get it home cut it in half and all the black dots inside are seeds. then just plant them in soil some where warm, and wa la a few weeks later you will have seedlings. I know the one you mean - very gay looking.

I'd never of imagined it would grow here - looks far too exotic.
