Hi BumbleB I'm in CanterburyThe greatness comes not when things go always good for you,but the greatness comes when you are really tested, when you take, some knocks, some disappointments;because only if youv'e been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.

Hi,
I'm from the London end, in Bexley! Last year I had two tomato plants and two chilli plants. I had the chilli plants indoors, put them outside and they seemed to die in a day - lesson learnt!
This year I've cleared cleared a 4.5Mx4.5M area of bark (used to have a climbing frame in), laid some turf and i've built a 4.5Mx1.5M raised bed. Lots going on in my mini greenhouse and just getting ready to plant stuff up!

Hi Cloud, we are off to Canterbury shopping today :-)
Graybag, Hi, I am from Bexley and still travel back and forth for 'minding' duties!
Becki, a self build, how exciting!! Oh you will have to have an 'open' day there.BumbleB
I have raked the soil and planted the seeds
Now I've joined the army that fights the weeds.

Hi all!
Only just seen this thread. I am from Kent too, just outside of Maidstone! This is my third year of having an allotment and there's still much to learn! We have friendly robins on the plot too - we had three all at once the other day. They are so friendly and sit right by us when we are digging or weeding. Just lovely to hear them sing! Sharon

Hi Nog. What month would you arrange for this, and would you pre advise. I.e. as is would you suggest grapes sow extra plants in order to be able to swop. I still have some surplus tom plants and I am on holiday next week so have been giving them to neighbours etc but if I had thought earlier we could have arranged something in April or early May for everyone with surplus etc.BumbleB
