  • Hello from N.W. Kent

    Hi there...

I am a 27 year old from north west kent who has been experimenting with growing different things in containers in her mums garden! Currently got potatoes on the go in the garden and various things on the windowsill...

My aim for this year is to try cucumbers and courgettes for the first time this year so fingers crossed... (Well that is when my friendly robin allows me to actually get on with some gardening between feeding him mealworms!)

Hi Donna and welcome to the vine. Courgettes are dead easy and very prolific, I plant out four plants each year and that is plenty for two people!

You can grow loads of things in pots and planters, or even in amongst your mum's flowers in the border.

Hope you have a really good season.

Oh yeah, and my robin is called Fred and always trys to 'help' me in the garden. I've nearly decapitated him with a hand trowel because he was so keen to see what I was digging up, silly boy.
