Hi all. 
Not only am I new to the forum, I'm new to gardening too. Never so much as mown a lawn until now.
I've just embarked on my first project - laying a new lawn! Currently digging up the old one...what is it will all these pieces of crockery I'm finding in the soil?!?!
The house we bought last summer has a good size garden, along with a small but mature allotment. No doubt I will have lots of questions as my wife and I slowly grow greener fingers!
