Getting a decent garden is a godsend - my previous house was a typical inner city terrace with a tiny rear yard.. moved from there into this ex-council house on the edge of the city. The house is massive compared to my last place, and the rear garden measures 25ft wide * 100ft long.
Incidentally, we had a few friends round for a barbie yesterday - it was great to just nip dwon the garden to pick a few lettuces and baby spring onions to add greenery to the meat fest

Hi I am new too,I now live in the norht of Scotland, Inverness. I have found tho that the growing season is a lot shorter here. we had a allotment when we lived down south, we once managed to grow our own onions that lasted for a whole year. I used my old tights to keep them in. 3onions ten a knot, so on, you sould have seen our shed !!

Sadly not, just a large family - those soil fertility rituals seem to have some side effects you know
