    The pictures look great
I'm new on this site too - they seem a friendly bunch

I think your garden looks really good. I'm sure it will 'blend' in really well once your beans etc get climbing. I really need to try and do something like that in mine. I sort of fell in to the whole veg growing thing this year so hadn't planned in advance as it were. I'd love to do something like yours ready for next year. Can I ask.. your trellis which goes round the boundary.. is it the standard 6ft high, like fence panels, or higher? It has created a very attractive background for your garden.

Hi there yes it certainly seems like a friendly place to learn, I have been growing flowers and plants for quite a few years now, but wanted to try my hand more at vegetables this year.

The fence around the boundry is just over 6ft high my brother built it in situ. The fence was already there and when I moved in during 2004 my whole garden was a jungle! so its come on quite a long way since then.

The trellis on the garage was the metal frames that builders put in foundations! I thought the rustic look wood look quite nice.

The arches were £5 from wilko's however, I noticed that they didn't look quite right so I decided to add an additional 2 canes to the side of each side and it definately looks much better. I am thinking of also putting cross pieces in and also taking some gargen pipe that I can slot over the canes and take right over the top of the arches this will give the beans plenty to hold onto.

I have grown two varieties for their flowers, scarlet emperor and cobra climbing beans. You will have to watch this space to see what happens.

I will upload some more pictures of my garden from jungle 2004 to 2009!

      Keep a look out

Had a look at your garden earlier but forgot to comment in the thread for it.

Very well done with it all so far. Have to say that it looks very nice and will hopefully be worthwhile for you come harvesting time.

Really need to get round to sorting out the weeds that are currently growing out in my patch and then I can get some pics taken.

You have inspired me to upload pics and stary a blog of our garden as it has evolved from July 08. We are hoping that at 12 months it will be a complete transformation. Ground Force eat your heart out, lol

I have raked the soil and planted the seeds
Now I've joined the army that fights the weeds.
