Hello all,
I found this site through the Facebook group I'd rather be gardening.
I have lived in a rented house that has a back garden mainly of gravel for three years. I've mainly done everything in pots but this year we were daring and pulled back some of the matting under the gravel and planted a pea and bean section. They are both dwarf varieties (meteor peas and hestia beans) with some larger sweat pea in between. I'm not very good but I do get a decent crop out of it all. My garden is south facing so I have no problem with the sun
I also have some round carrots growing in pots though so far most I've checked have been split.
I'm on here mainly for advice on how to get the best crop and when to pick.
