  • I hate slugs

    Hi everyone,
    Only just found this forum.
I buy the magazine, but I must have missed the fact that there is a forum!
I've just started on "grow your own" and have lost all four containers of spuds to slugs.
So, I google spuds/snails and one of the first clicks opened up on this forum.
Then I saw the advert for Nemasys.
    Prepare to die slugs!

Hi there- and welcome to the Vine!!!!

Nematodes work wonders- although you may need to do it next year too to keep on top of things!

They are living creatures and are killed off by frost( I think you'll be fine with that at the moment!!!)
but they do need moist soil to get about and attack the slugs- so I think you'll need to water the area from time to time if it gets too dry.(might say about this in the instructions!)

Er...where are all the slugs this year? The allotment and back garden both seem to have a distinct lack of the slimey nemasis - only one french marigold in a mostly paved front garden has been ravaged!

One day, I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back. Until that day, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs, and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine.
