As we have been members for a few months and really enjoy our daily 'fix' of this forum, we thought it was about time that we introduced ourselves!
Having lived in France for just over 9 years, we moved to our present property just over a year ago. We have nearly 7 acres of gorgeous land, 6 of which are taken over by our two girls (horses). We also have one springer, 4 hens and 2 cats. Early in the year we built our own polytunnel 15m x 15m and have had a fabulous crop of tomatoes, cucumbers, aubergines, peppers, chillies and melons as well as being inundated with other crops outside. We intend using about an acre of the land for other projects such as fruit trees etc. We have had great success with all our veg and the freezer is heaving and we are never short of manure!
Brittany can be very wet in the winter, but this year we have had a gorgeous summer most of the time. Now it is time to 'batten' down the hatches and fire up the woodburner and open another bottle of 'vin'!
