welcome welcome seamus - don't worry about your computer skills, it is the growing we are concerned with here

Give us a brief of yourself - what you grow, where you grow it etc and we will all look forward to getting to know you more

      Hi Seamus and welcome.
Nice to see another Irish person joining in.
Tell us a bit about what you grow, and if you have a greenhouse or a tunnel.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Hi Seamus, welcome at last! Sounds like you've got loads growing there already. You'll love having chickens, they are all real characters.

hi and welcome to the vine / madhouse

Second Aunty Flum's verdict on the girls. Keeping hen's is one of the best choices I've made with regards to the whole GYO

Good luck on the girls and your tunnel for next year.

Hi Seamus, nice to have another member from the emerald isle on board!

You've been busy so far. Sounds as if we'll be asking for your advice. I'm in the process of putting up a shed and run, and hope to get a few hens in the coming weeks, so it looks like we're on a similar wavelength!

                    Good luck with the growing.

Seamus, yes I have grown a good selection of fruit and veg over the years but unfortunately I have lost my big garden.
Used to use my mothers garden but she had to go into a nursing home 18 months ago and so the garden has become overgrown as I haven't been able to spend much time there any more.
I still have my fruit growing, raspberries, black and red currents and strawberries but sooner or later the house will be sold and I won't have the space in my own garden to grow such a big amount.
I do have a greenhouse and grow toms, peppers and chilli's and cucumbers in it and have enough space outdoors to grow onions, garlic and a few other bits and pieces.
Anyway, enough about me. Hope all grows well for you and your wife. Keep us updated and the best of luck with it all.

In the glory of the garden.
