  • Hello

    Hi,

    I am Sara

I live in SE London and have recently become a veg grower.

We have a half plot which we got in March this year and it has been great, hard work and fairly productive for a newbie and family.

Looking forward to a proper year of growing

Hi Sara, you're very welcome to the vine! It's great to see so many new people catching the growing bug! There are loads of very knowledgeable grapes here, with a wealth of experience (thankfully!). The rest of us share the little we know and try soak up the advice being given. I hope you'll enjoy getting to know us.

      Good luck with the growing.
A good beginning is half the work.
Praise the young and they will make progress.

You going to roast the toms in the oven first? I made pasta sauce for the first time last week like this and it tasted yummy

              Welcome Sara.
I echo what Sweetiepea has already said. There is a wealth of information on this vine as you will quickly see.

Other than my yummy toms we grew

Red onions, leeks, carrots, sweetcorn, strawberries, raspberries, runner beans, savoy cabbage, spinach, spuds, all eaten up now

Still growing for consumption soon, calabrese, cauli, parsnips, cabbage and purple sprouting broc and a late sowing of more carrots.

                    Here is our plot

Holy Cardoons! That's one great looking plot - a lot of hard work has gone in there.

Welcome aboard the good ship Grapevine, she'll carry you well.
