Hi I have been around on the vine for a little while and feel that I have got to know a few of you. However just realised that I have never introduced myself opppps I live for some of the year in the UK (south London) and spend the summers abroad. We bought a bit of scrap land in Italy and first used to camp there and then discovered that we had ...... not sure how much I am suposed to put here. I have 2 sausage dogs, so cute

Well apart from many beautiful wild Orchids, wild life, plants and flowers when we started clearing the land (on our hands and knees) we found that we had an old derilict vinyard. It has to be cleared by hand for fear of damaging the twisted gnarled roots. The locals remember it producing a good crop at least 30 years ago. The plants were on the floor and had put out creepers 4ft long, so no fruit all leaves.We slowly pruned and cleared up to now 100+ vines and last year we had 20 bottles of wine. All hand picked and pressed. It is amazing and we cherish every grape.
