Hi Leslie, welcome to the Vine from me too - sounds like you'll be able to give us tonnes of advice on container growing for this year.

Could we ask you to edit your profile with your location (you don't need to be really specific), it just helps us with geographically related questions and answers.

Hi Leslie and welcome to our little community.
A good beginning is half the work.
Praise the young and they will make progress.

          Hi Leslie

welcome to the Vine although not wheelchair bound myself you might call me one of the walking wounded as I use a wretched walking stick most of the time. like yourself I grow in pots and troughs and get out in the garden as much as my health dictates, i'm sure you will meet lots of like minded on the vine, they are a forgiving bunch so i'm sure your mistakes will be soon forgotten have fun im sure you will get on well
especally agravating partners, I think my partner would strangle me if I had any more tomato seeds (260 short of your mark but I still have time) take care and have fun

          Neil

          Thought For The Day
If a plum tomato breaks the law when it’s young
Would it’s criminal past ketchup with it later?

I specialise in herloom and unusuals and have a few small seed banks of tomatoes (around 300) cucmbers (around 70) and climbing beans (Around 25).

I live in a bungalow with my wife who I torment and agravate corpiously.

I am retired and involved in voluntary work at my local hospital as a chaplain since I am also ordained (it's great being in a wheelchair as all the patients think I have escaped from another ward!).
I'm sure that the warm welcome extended by my fellow grapes has nothing to do with the fact that you have the authority to undertake funerals - or weddings for that matter

I'm a bit of a climbing bean wonk myself - and heritage peas too - so if I can extend your collection at all, do let me know.

I do like the phrase 'patio allotment' - suspect that will be plagarised vigorously by others here!

            Happy growing, Leslie!
