  • Late hello

I guess that I should have introduced myself more formally before now but better late than never.
Well here goes I enjoy gardening as it relaxes me and gets me outside which we all love, nothing better than planting seeds or picking veg with my 3 year old daughter. My wife and I have had allotments for nearly 20 years now but still find that there is so much to learn if you are that way inclined. We grow most veg and loads of fruit and keep 6 hens as well which are an absolute joy.

Hi Daz, and as I usually say; welcome to the Madhouse!

Sounds like you're far more of an expert in the field than I am. Happy growing!

If I can help I will no question, I tend to do what works for me but it can spark a bit of a discussion in our house as my other half is city and guilds and RHS trained.

Hi and welcome - aren't chickens fantastic?
It sounds like you are well experienced but I do agree about doing what works for you. It's amazing that when someone asks a question on here you can get half a dozen answers - and they all work!

Chickens just make the place feel alive and we still get a buzz from collecting the eggs.
I think somtimes things grow inspite of us not because of us, you can not beat mother nature you can only work with her.

Thanks for the welcome, we would love to hatch some but we are not allowed more than 6 and no cockerals either and my other half would not let anything happen to the boys.
