Hello everyone, started off last year with a toughened plastic small greenhouse had some decent courgettes, mixed leaf salad, toms and cues . have recently bought a 6x4 greenhouse and would like some sound advice as to use it to its full potential.Any thoughts would be gratefully received

I got given a greenhouse about 2 years ago and was overwhelmed by it for a while. but My hubby got me a great greenhouse book from ebay to make things easier for me. I have a greenhouse border on one side with plenty of room for a couple of tall toms and a couple of all female cucumbers (they need less work than the male types) and I have a home made greenhouse staging on the other side that I use for seedlings and tub type plants. I have a slab path in the middle and a few bricks to stop the soil from the border getting on the path. I also got a drip hosepipe from ebay for just a couple of pound so that in the warm spring I can just attach the normal hose to it and it waters the whole greenhouse all at the same time.

Hi and welcome. I have not got a greenhouse but from what I hear it seems if you get/make some sort of staging so you can use the full height of the g/h you will be able to get more in.

Welcome to the vine, i have a 6x6 greenhouse (too small but who can complain) and this will be my first year of use, i grow everything in pots and i have decided that i will only grow one or two of any variety of tomato and chilli so i can fit in as many types as poss, to go with the cues, aubergines, sweet peppers, melon, okra etc etc so many plants, so little space

Hello and welcome to the vine, I've only had my greenhouse for 5 months so I don't have much advice but wanted to say I set All year round lettuce in mine back in October so I've not had to buy any all winter

Hello Fancey66 and welcome to the vine, I bought a thick plastic green house (6'x4') last year it didn't survive the winter, but I have a new 8'x6' one to put up when the weather gets better (Christmas pressie), I grew all sorts in mine last year I think the thing is not to over crowed what you do decide to grow. I bought lots of thick plastic bendy buckets to grow my tom's, cucumbers etc in.
My advice is enjoy yourself & ya green house
