  • Hi

Hello everyone I’m new to the site.

My Name is Dean and about 18 months ago I started keeping a few chickens. This then went to myself wanting to hatch a few, got an incubator and hatched some of my own! I loved it..... Then I wanted to hatch from my own stock so whilst on a job working I asked a man if I could rent a little bit of land off him for my own boy and girls..... £25 a month job done

    Now I have around 20!

A few months ago in August I started running small local poultry auctions in hullbridge which i really enjoy hosting and I have created a small but growing web site!

Sally at the magazine convinced me to advertise with GYO and to join the forum..... So here I am ..... Hi!

I'm 23 Work for National Gird and enjoy my chicken keeping hobby. My girlfriend thinks I’m nuts!

    There you go, That’s me!

Hi welcome. I kept two beautiful girls in my back yard for a while but sob sob they ruined my garden so had to let them go. I know nothing about chickens apart from that they worm themselves into your heart.

dean,we all start out just getting a few birds for the eggs, but 5 minutes sitting in the sun watching their daft antics brings about a change of priorities, they start becoming fun to keep =end up getting more and more....its addictive and great fun...

Hi Dean and welcome to the Vine. I haven't been brave enough to get chickens yet, but I keep having a look at Rule the Roost! As Jeanied says, don't be a stranger to the other threads, it's really friendly on here.
