  • Hello From Mid Wales

Hello All, I'm new to the forum and thought i'd introduce myself.
I picked the name Breezie because i live up on a hill here in Wales opposite a ruined castle and Breezie is what it is here!
I'm new to Gardening although being the son of a landscape Gardener i've grown up with plenty of tips from my Father.
My family and I now live in a rented Farm house with plenty of room for veg. I know what I want to do with the place and I'm enjoying doing it. I've bought some hens and a cockeral also two ducks.

I cannot wait to start some seeds off but as you can imagine we're behind everyone else here and so will probably wait till mid april atleast before any sowing is done.

I'm rambling now, so all that remains is to say hello once more then go and look through some of the threads.

Hi Breezie. Welcome to the vine. You get up early in Wales don't you?
Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

Welcome to the vine Breezie - you will find loads of things to start off in April and we look forward to hearing all about it! Will you be able to sow things in modules for the time being?

Hi and welcome. Growing up as I did in Manchester, I spent most of my summer holidays in Wales. I love it there.

Hi Breezie. Welcome to the vine! Living in similar conditions here. Its a little frustrating reading about all that's going on in less exposed spots, but just wait until its our turn to shout about new shoots. It'll be worth the wait.
A good beginning is half the work.
Praise the young and they will make progress.

Thanks for the warm welcome all, i'm not used to "warm" living here as you can imagine but we get by.

Sarraceniac, I'm quite often up at that time, My son Has Cerebral palsy as well as a bowel problem and sometimes needs seeing to in the middle of the night, hence the reason i was up at that time. I got up this morning though to find that the little star had completely blitzed the kitchen for us, tidied the work tops and fed the animals, he really is a little diamond and we love him to bits. I have two others another boy younger and his older sister, each of them have their attributes and they love living here as much as me and my wife do. I'm also trying to get them into this gardening mallarchy(spelling).

when we moved here the gardening had been left and the nettles and briars left to run riot, they al helped on the clearing of those and now we are starting to see the fruits of our labour. My daughter especially loves nature, sometimes to the point where it becomes a problem. we end up with all manor of things being brought into the house and now we are suffering with mice in the attic. Probably been brought in from the fields no doubt.

Anyway, once again thanks for the warm welcome.

Welcome to the vine. I too won't be really getting things into the ground until mid April and quite a few on here in the same boat. Sounds a lovely place you are living.
