rhubarb is something i have in my Garden, it grows very well but as you say just the one harvest

And i have nothing but forest for 60 miles behind my house, so wild Blue Berries as far as i can see in the late summer

Sending warm greetings to you from Down Under. I had the pleasure of travelling thru Norway in 1976 (maybe before you were even born) and loved it. I've also visited the Arctic in Alaska where the sun doesn't set from May thru August! There is enough light to read a newspaper outside at midnight!

Have you thought of hiring a team of workers and exporting those fantastic-tasting blueberries to the rest of the universe? I reckon you would make a million in your first year, then you could put your feet up and have an easy life! Do you get bears up your way? In the USA and Canada bears and blueberries are synonymous! Many blueberry pickers have had close shaves with bears!

Maybe i should do that, im not sure how the law works on that over here as i dont own all the land.
As for Bears we have them here but you are real lucky to see one as they try to keep there distance from Humans, but if we have a bad Blueberry year you are more likely to see bears close to populated areas as they stuggle to find enought to eat before Hibernating. We also have the 2 largest Wolf packs in Norway in this area.
in the North of Norway it also does not get dark for 2 months of so, thats why Norway is known as the land of the Midnight Sun.

Welcome to the vine Nick, your growing season sounds exactly like mine, what with the sowing dates and placcy sheeting (I'm at 300m+ in the Scottish Cairngorms) and so does the scenery...so I will be interested to hear how you get on this year.
