  • Hello from Oxfordshire

    Hello all, a quick introduction.

Im 24, live with my girlfriend at our house, which is around 5 miles from Henley-on-Thames.

We are new to gardening, but have had help from my father who is a landscape gardener.

We have 2 vegetabl patches we have jus dug out, and we have a small greenhouse.

Looking at growing mainly vegetables, although going to be buying some strawberry plants and a strawberry tower.

Just subscribed to Grow Your Own to get tips and hints on how to make a reasonable crop, hoping for a good years gardening.

Hope to speak to you on the forums

    Regards Andrew

Hello Andrew and welcome to the vine. Why not grow your strawberry's from seed? There not as hard to grow as you may think plus there more rewarding, I grew Strawberry "Alpine Mignonette" last year, there small very sweet and ideal for a strawberry tower. Hope to chat with you as you find your feet.

Hi Andrew -welcome to the vine!
Strawberries are a fantastic crop and the plants (not the alpine ones) should last you 3 years-ish. I have just put in a strawberry bed too
