  • Hello newbie here

Hi everyone just thought I would introduce myself as I have only just joined.Me and a friend have been taking alot recently about our allotments and sharing pics etc and she told me about this place she comes to,so I thought I would check it out and meet some keen gardeners and fellow allotment holders

A little about myself......I am Emma,27 and married,we have to little boys of 4 and 2 and we live in Hampshire.
We got an allotment in march 2010 after being on the waiting list a year.It is a very big work in progress at the moment,.
We are in the process of digging it all over and are looking into borrowing a rotavator to save on our backs,so far we have done 6 hrs of digging between us and we are not a 3rd of the way done yet.
We have already planted potatoes, onions and garlic which are doing very well.

I have peas, beans, sweetcorn, cucumbers and other various things in the greenhouse waiting to be planted out.

Also on the lookout for a shed as at the moment whenever we got to the allotment we have to pile everything into the car that we need...and it always results in us leaving somethings behind lol

I will leave it there for now bu I look forward to meeting everyone and sharing tips etc
