  • Howdy from the Notts/Derbys border

    Hiya

I'm Lyndsey and i'm on the Notts/Derbys border.

I'm 31 and this is my second year of serious growing "stuff". I have been growing chillies for many years on and off and tomatoes but last year I grew more bits and bobs.

For Christmas last year I asked for staging for our greenhouse and a potting table from hubby, best gift I ever got and from mum I asked for seed potatoes and growing bags!

I love rock and metal music - hence the username.

Nice to be here amongst so many keen growers and I look foward to learning more from you all

Hi Lynds, and welcome to the Madhouse.

This place can become addictive, but is a wealth of knowledge and information. Happy growing!

Will also add as I forgot on the OP that we make our own wine from our 2 apple trees and our rhubarb stock and nextdoors elderberry tree as they don't use the fruit. Jsut stumbled across the juice thread so will be taking a big look at that!

Ta for making me feel welcome!

Welcome along. I'm new posting on here as well although found the vines to be a great source of info.

Hi Lyndsey, welcome to the vine - sounds like you have made a pretty good start on your growing- nice to have a greenhouse (say I, wistfully).
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

We live in a place called Jacksdale. I know of Shardlow Zazen when my dad was still with us the footie team used to play against Shardlow

I grown in my own garden on a patch which is about 26ft by 9ft. We have quite a large back garden which I would quite happily dig up for growing on but hub won't let me
