  • Hello

Someone on another forum I frequent suggested I join here.

We are moving to a house with a large ''garden'' which atm has very little in it but grass and conifer trees. There are also a couple of apple trees and two lilacs. Although I've always been a keen if ill educated gardener I admit the starting almost totally from scratch while setting up home too is a bit daunting.

We are hoping to concentrate our gardening on establishing bits of garden to feed ourselves first, maybe digging out a couple of beds to home all the stuff friends are offering to divide for us. Thinking about the ''ornamental'' bit of the garden feels a little frivolous and yet crucial to get right.

Hi, and welcome to the Vine! You'll find everyone on here is hugely helpful and friendly (if sometimes barking mad). I don't think there's a better place to ask for advice, or come for a chat.

Good luck with the new garden.

Do I know you from somewhere?

edit: oh, see what you mean, yes, but also, it was sort of a hint for the person who told me to join, who would have said exactly what you said. peeing in the garden being an ongoing joke..sorry..
