Hello from Sunny North Tyneside.

Hey all, thought it was time I to got around to participating, after skulking around for a few months.

I'm Michael from Dudley, North Tyneside; This is my first year growing veg after taking over next doors rented garden to create 4 raised veg beds.

At the moment in the beds I have:
Onions (Red/White/Shalllots)
Potatos (earlies and 2nds)
Carrots(earlies, main crop and some purple ones, which I couldn't resist trying)
Beetroot.

In my recently constructed cold frame I have:
Peas
Runner Beans
Cucumbers
Tomato's (Outdoor/Hanging)
Cabbage
Cauliflower
Sunflowers

In various tubs and pots:
Rhubarb
Blackberry
Herbs (Chives/Garlic Clives/Thyme/Basil/Parley

and finally in the kitchen window box, some cut and come again lettuce - lots of it actually!

Future plans are to extend the veg plot into the field behind the garden to make room for a greenhouse and a further bed or two.


I have to say this site has proved invaluable in the early days.
