    Hi Everyone,
Wow what a find, such a lovely site. We are two granmas retired and enjoying the freedom. We live on the Blackdown hills and never had a great deal of time for gardening but have now become obsessed with our overgrown patch. We have a small unheated greenhouse which is now bursting at the seams, and a tiny veg patch, and probably a thousand questions for all you experienced gardeners.

    Hello!
Who's typing? Or is it one finger each?

Welcome to the vine, both of you! Is that the Devon/ Somerset Blackdown Hills?
What have you got bursting out of the greenhouse?
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Hi everyone,Definitely type one finger each cos we're not very computer savvy!!! greenhouse has tomatos, mini cucumbers, courgettes, peppers and chillis and strawberries in,we have spuds in large tubs behind the greenhouse. Just putting in runner beans, brussel sprouts, sweetcorn and caulis. We would like to grow more but need a bigger patch cleared.Retirement is so much fun. When we work out how to load pics we will post some

Welcome I'm new here too, but everyone seems very friendly and helpful. Not sure I;'ll be giving much advice though, I'm pretty clueless, but I've learned a lot in the short time I've been here!

Two sheds thanks for advice, we were told by the local guru to put some strawberries in the greenhouse and feed them well so we did. Been eating the red berries for a week now, should we chop them back and hoik them out when they finish fruiting??/

Oh for forcing an early crop? That's OK then, lucky you to have strawbs already
