    Hello

I've been reading GYO for some time but have only just stumbled across this forum today! I have very recently taken over a very overgrown allotment after being on a waiting list so I'm sure i'll get some good ideas from here.

PS. Where can I find a recipe for that Rhubarb Shnapps mentioned in another thread? Had great success (to my complete surprise) with Elderfower wine and Damson Gin last year so am looking to increase my repetoire.

Welcome to the vine, Bean Gardening! Nice to have you along. I have rhubarb schapps to make this afternoon - using the recipe from here. (I'll have to use the search button though as I didn't write it down last time I used the recipe ). Haven't tasted it yet because this is the first year I've made it. Here's hoping!

Hi there- and welcome to the Vine!

          here ya go!

          Approx 1kg chopped rhubarb
          300g caster sugar
1 litre bottle vodka (cheap as you can find)
Pop all the ingredients into a jar (or 2 depending on size). Store in a cool dark place for 6 weeks - shake jars daily. Strain into a bottle and serve

( I put in less sugar cos my rhubarb is quite sweet already)
