Hello, I'm Sam a Masters student at Birmingham University.
I am currently working for Garden Organics new initiative: Sowing New Seeds. This project hopes to provide a resource of fact sheets and improved seed availability for exotic veg, based upon what is currently being grown within West Midlands allotments.
At the moment we are carrying out short interviews with growers concerning the more unusual crops that they are growing, such as Calaloo, red pea etc. There is a lot of experience and knowledge which is currently not written down.
So ... do you have an allotment in Birmingham? Are you growing anything unusual and would you be willing to answer a few questions about it? Any help is much appreciated.
