Hi i am Shellie i am a single mum and I have 5 children. I have just got my own allotment I had one with my ex but it was more his than mine. So now i have got my own and I enjoy growning most things but a bit of a novice so any help in getting started would be great. I enjoy gardening and I have some veg in my garden as I like to see my children eat what we grow and they help to. Well that is me so any help would be great

Just wanted to say hello and welcome to the site! I love growing veg at home, it tastes so much better that the dry wizzen stuff from the supermarket and you know exactly what's gone ito it....a lot of hard work!

I admire you for getting an allotment too (and with 5 children) wow you make me feel so lazy!!! Good luck with everything, hope you get bumper crops

Welcome Shellie, how old are your children. My grandsons like "helping" at the lottie, but it usually consists of collecting snails in buckets and digging holes to find worms. Mind you, they are only 5 and 4.

Hi Shellie, I am fairly new to growing fruit and veg, and to this forum too.I live in Louth Lincs and have a fairly big veg plot we run at my in laws house we also have 7 chickes and last week four ducklings to which one of my broody chickes is mum to. I am sure she woders whay her so called babies swim in water lol.
