A warm welcome to the vine BH - what a lovely looking garden and sooo tidy. It is a relief to hear your house is not as neat! And you are not that far up the road from me!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Ha ha Bigmally, i didnt know what to call myself so Bountyhunter popped into the empty space between my ears

Anyway, please call me Sara lol.

And thanks again for the welcome!

I didn't realise that my veg was very tidy, i just thought it looked neater than before. i leave my housework and concentrate on my garden. As i tell everyone else, the house can wait but the garden cant.

When i have been on here a bit more i will post up the rest of my garden. Its a labour of love/hate but its the place i love to be. I am trying desperately to get my daughter involved but all she likes is the snails and bugs, she is 9. Plus, she no longer eats veg. I though we were going to live the simple life but unfortunately i havnt found a way to grow burgers lol

Brilliant, I wish I had my own live in slugbuster. All you need is a live in cat scarer & you're laughing..........

I wouldnt say my garden was massive, its about 100ft. But its big if you compare it to a small garden .

Luckily i can grow a lot of stuff in the car port so my main garden is lawn and plants. Its very windy here so everything has to be tied down or i lose it so this year is a bit of an experiment. String is for part timers, this year everything is wired together, and its neater. I haven't thought about taking it all apart yet at the end of the season, that will be the hard part.

You would wet yourselves laughing if you knew how i have kept all the onions and stuff upright...... and if it works i will do it again next time.

Even though my daughter loves the snails it works out well as she throws them next door so i cant get them with my pellets lol. I have a small frog pond in my front garden and some Hostas growing next to it. The leaves are covered in holes from slugs and snails but i didnt use the pellets as i thought the frogs would eat the pests but the pests have eaten my plants, damn this gardening lark

I am sure they wont look so neat and orderly in a few weeks!

I have no idea if my canes and wires will work out as this is the first time but if everything is stronger then thats all i need.

I need to have a look about and see what everyone else is doing, i need some ideas.

Thanks for all the positive comments, its great to share and i hope it helps other growers.

Ha ha, call me Sara lol.

Thanks, i didn't think my grow was so impressive till i got the reactions i did. I feel like i have taken in some good homework at school. lol

I will post up some pics of other bits of my garden from last year when it was all in flower. The garden was started about 3 years ago even though i have lived here for 20 years. Its all in its infancy but i have loads of plans. I have been single for the last 9 months so i have had to do it all on my own this time.
If you want to do it then you will. You will be amazed at what you get pack into a small space. Everything is in my carport and greenhouse. If you plan it well you can grow loads. I have raised some stuff up that would otherwise have been left in the shade.

Anyway, i dont know that my grow will be successful yet, it might look good but that means nothing in this game.

View up the garden. laying a new lawn after leveling out the slope. You can see where the secret garden will be on the left.

                              Spring, nearly 1 year later

This is the secret garden 1 year on!

I cant believe how well everything is growing. I intend to cover all the fencing with clematis eventually. I have a clay soil and nothing has really ever grown here apart from grass and Maple trees at the end of the garden grrrr. Lots of organic matter and lots of blood sweat and tears. I cant wait till its all done, a long way off but i have plans. Housework, whats that? lol

I have edited a pic that showed some little uns faces so i have distorted them, hopefully this is ok lol

This is my patio last year and all the plants were planted in that spring so just a matter of months old.
