  • Hi from sunny suffolk

    Hello

I was told about this forum by my brother so thought I would have a look and join. I have no idea what his forum name is so hopefully he will come say hello so i know who he is.

Ive been a keen gardener for a few years now and enjoy growing plants and having a pretty garden during the summer. At the end of last year I decided to try growing veggie. So sept of last year I had lots of help from my parents who did all the digging and made 2 large raised beds. We dug in loads of manure and covered with carpet during the winter.

I am growing Potatos, carrots, spring onions, lettus, leeks, cabbage and runner beans.

Everything seems to be growing really well and all is going OK.... for now.

I look forward to chatting to you all more.

Near The Denes? The plot next to my old one was rented by a school: I don't think they go up there more than twice a year, I never saw anyone working it from one week to the next since they got it. Everything in the new greenhouse died and the cleared beds got all weedy again

                          TY Jeanied.

yes that may be the one. They have only had it 2 years and i know they havent done much this year because of the weather we had earlier in the year. It was going up there with my son that made me want to turn a part of my garden into a veggie plot.

I run a parents forum and have given this forum to a lady who has got into gardening this year, hopefully she will join up and have a chat.
