  • Hi, I'm new here and kinda new to all of this

    Hi,
I'm Natalie, and my first edition of Grow Your Own dropped on my mat this month.
Me and my husband started growing some things last year, but we got married last July so we didn't do quite as much as we would have liked. So this year my hubby has transformed our large south facing sloped lawn to terraces to give us loads more growing space.
I have fibromyalgia and hypermobilty and am no longer able to work. I have found that planting, weeding and looking after my raised beds is doing wonders for my health. I just feel so alive and relaxed in my garden. I seem to spend all of my 'ill' time reading gardening books, and thinking about what I am going to do (or get hubby to do) next.
We are planning on getting some chickens soon to make us even more self-sufficient.
Anyway, its nice to be here.
    Natalie.

hi im a newbie as well ive just moved house and it has a nice plot on it that i want to transform into a vegetable garden. ive never done anything like this before and this site is really helpful and friendly (and a little bit addictive lol)

ive also decided to grow my own herbs. i love to cook and its partly that which has led me to really want to try my hand at growing my own.

Herbs are easy to grow: the hardest thing is working out how to use them.

There's nothing like growing your own food, for the satisfying feeling of 'I did that'.

Welcome to the vine Natalie, hope you like it here as much as the rest of us! I think Sarzwix has hypermobility too, so she may be able to offer some advice to you on gardening with it!
