  • Hi Everyone

    Hi everyone

My partner & i have just got our allotment in Ellesmere Port we have been looking forward to this very much as we live in a flat & so we have no garden. we got this plot in june this year unfortunatley for us it was very overgrown with grass & weeds to say the least, but now we have got going with it & seem to be doing well if i do say so myself.Kev has done so much back & forwards to the tip with loads of rubbish from out of 2 sheds that was on the plot but now they r ready for us to use to the fullest he has taken down 1 old wreck of a greenhouse & made his own with most of the old one but bigger. I on the other hand while he has been doing this have been digging out some of the weeds or at least trying to they never seem to end, we both can't wait till next year when we can start growing our own fruit & veg .

Hello, and welcome to the Madhouse. Put kettle on, and pull up a chair. If you're ever bored there's usually someone in the 'Chat' thread that you can have a virtual cuppa with and a natter. If Ginger Ninger is about, there will be food too!

What was Two_Sheds doing on your allotment!?

Welcome to the Vine ShandyLady - and don't forget to put some pictures up of your plot - it really helps to have everyone 'ooh' and 'ahh' over your plot and you will have a record of the hard work you have both put in!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Hi there- and welcome to the Vine!
We put a small area over to grass on our last lottie- made it into an orchard with a pear, 2 apple, cherry and a mirebelle tree...plus a few fruit bushes, herbs and flowers.
It was lovely sitting in the shade tucking into butties and a mug of coffee after a long sesh on the lottie.
We even had bbq with the kids...heaven!
