  • The sun is shining again in East London/Essex

Hi there, recently managed to get hold of an overgrown allotment that has been used as a rubbish dump for got knows how long. Very new to growing anything so I will be a regular on here for any advice. We have just managed to get the plot into a workable condition, and have dug a couple of beds (hard work on very compacted and stony soil). So far we have planted some radish, Beetroot, rainbow chard and spinach...Is there anything else that can be grown and harvested throughout the winter?
Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?
