  • Hello!

    Hello all...
After 3 years wait we've finally got our hands on our first allotment. Despite been very overgrown and complete novices we're very excited and hope to remain enthusiastic!
So pleased to have found this place. Will be useful for advice, hints and tips from those with more experience.
I'll be back to pick brains very soon!

You've been here nearly an hour and nobody's said hello, so I will. Welcome aboard.

Thank you for the warm welcome!

Finding myself getting annoyed that I have to go to work, thinking about what I could be doing to my plot. Hoping that the enthusiasm continues!

Any tips for keeping the midges at bay? They had a feast on me yesterday, heading up there soon..can't wait.

Welcome to the vine Plot90. Rumour has it that eating Marmite makes you less attractive to the nibblers - I have no evidence though!
Also an avon body oil - not sure which one...

Hi Plot 90 and welcome to the vine. I take Brewers Yeast tablets to help stop the bugs biting and I've found they work...for me anyway. You can buy them from most health stores.
