  • Hello from Bedfordshire

    Hello everyone!
Only been growing my own for a couple of years since we moved house. We took on a large overgrown jungle of a garden, brambles and all and tamed it! A good chunk of it is now a raised bed vegetable gardenwhich I enjoy tending to everyday, its my little haven and a place to escape to! I am very much a beginner and learning everyday but loving my new found hobby.

I also keep a flock of ex battery hens and have been keeping chickens for approx 3 years. I will have questions from time to time I'm sure Off to read........!

Hello G.S and a very warm welcome from Yorkshire. What have you been growing this year? I love my little garden as well, there's nothing better than being able to escape into your own little world.

            Thank you for the welcome

I have had a good growing year, well, apart from wasps attacking all of our plums and apples GRRR! Sweetcorn, salad potatoes, french bean, runners, beets, carrots, parsnip, onions, spring onions, garlic, courgette, leek, my trusty rhubarb, cherry tomatoes and mangetout. I did try swede for the first time this year but most of them bolted. I am still picking runners and courgettes, and pulling beets and carrots. I didn't bother growing salad or lettuces this summer, opting to grow winter lettuce for the first time instead.

Thanks again for the welcome x
