  • Hello from Glasgow

    Hi all

    Im hooked!!!

im a father of three and at a visit to a local eco event my kids got really excited at the prospect of sowing peas and broad beans and having a competition between the family!

    so!!!

i decided to lay some turf in the back garden and build some raised beds filled with compost to plant them out but im afraid a got a little carried away and kept going to plant a herb garden, veg patch and hopefully a fruit bed!!!

i even went and bought an unheated greenhouse the walk in pvc type!!

    so far i have
    • mint
    • parsley
    • corriander
    • lemon balm
    • basil
    • potatoes
    • carrots
    • leeks
    • letuce leaves

got some strawberry seeds indoors in pots and have bought some raspberry seeds that i hope to sow but dont know when to....

    and all are doing well!!

not bad for a man or kids who have never grown a thing before

looking forward to getting some advice and making some new mates on here so get in touch and dont be shy!!!

    i'm not!!!!!!!
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand
    .

Hi bigt... I take it the 1888 refers to a certain football team??

Welcome to the vine from a fellow Glasgow resident! Whereabouts in Glasgow are you?
                              What would Delia do?
