I have been on the vine a few years now, I have to say it is the 'nicest' forum around- my second family
Enjoy your plot and great news that they have vacant ones left! though the word is that the up take on allotments - country wide- has 'peaked' and less are taking up the growing challenge.
I love my plot and spend many happy hours there!

welcome to the lovely vine... I'm quite new but I love it and people are very friendly... they know lots too!!!
This is only really my second year growing with any degree of conviction... I have varying success but LOVE it when it works... the addition of a greenhouse this year has really improved opportunities for success...
I read LOADS before starting to actually have a try, think I was a bit nervous... best advice - just have a go!!!
Sounds like you're already on your way...
