Hello to the forum.
I am very new to growing here in East Lancs.
Autumn 2010 project was to start herbs indoors ready for developing a herb bed in March 2011. I have chive, parsley, rosemary, bush basil, sage, lovage, mint growing inside on the sill ready for its moment.
Spring project 2011 is baby leeks, baby parsnips, onion and small amounts of carrot, chard, radish. I would love to get some bush type tomato and aubergine as well.
I was given some basic kit to get me started, a heated propagator, cupboard style grow house and a cold frame. I built myself 3 raised beds from salvaged wood and they are awaiting me. The garden only get afternoon sun but at least it runs east to west.
I have spent the best part of today scouring the forums and have learned so much from them already and made copious notes.
I look forward to learning more in 2011.
Warm regards.
